Safeguarding

‘Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. School staff are particularly important as they are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children to prevent concerns from escalating. Schools and their staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children.’

Keeping Children Safe in Education (DfE July 2015)

Our children’s safety and welfare is our priority. We have a variety of policies and procedures in school to help us keep children safe. These policies and procedures follow locally agreed guidelines laid down by the Essex Safeguarding Children Board (ESCB).

In school we have trained designated safeguarding officers, they are:-

  • Mr Carver- Headteacher
  • Mrs Barber- Deputy Headteacher
  • Mrs Watson- Assistant Headteacher

Our school safeguarding Governor is Mrs S. Lawrence.

If you have any concerns about a child’s safety or welfare please speak to one of the above staff members.
